Description
The role leads the design, characterization, integration, and mass-production of photoplethysmogram (PPG) optical sensing systems for Google wearable products. Responsibilities include modeling light-tissue interactions, optimizing optical geometries and LED-to-photodiode paths, defining engineering requirements, selecting and developing optical and analog front-end components, coordinating hardware bring-up and characterization, and establishing factory testing and yield-improvement processes. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and four years of optical sensor design experience, with Python or MATLAB scripting and data-analysis experience also required.
