Description
The practical nurse apprentice at Huron Regional Medical Center rotates through 4-6 nursing areas under direct supervision of a registered nurse or department director, spending 2-4 weeks observing and practicing direct nursing care, communicating with clients and care teams, and organizing accountable aspects of care. The role requires flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and night shifts, and asks for nursing school enrollment/graduation and South Dakota nursing licensure eligibility or current licensure; ACLS is preferred and prior CNA experience is preferred.
