Description
Easterseals Iowa is accepting applicants for a Social Work Generalist Practicum or Counseling Practicum placement for students in accredited behavioral health, social work, mental health counseling, psychology, human services, or related programs. Placements are individualized, typically last one semester, and range from approximately 100 to 300 hours, with shorter observational or shadowing experiences available when permitted. Students may observe and participate in client services, develop engagement, assessment, and intervention skills, facilitate groups, join multidisciplinary team meetings, and gain experience with documentation, case coordination, and resource development. Qualifications include enrollment in an accredited degree program, ability to meet placement requirements, interest in serving individuals, families, and communities, and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
