Description
UChicago Medicine is hiring a full-time, onsite Pre-Analytical Technician for its Clinical Chemistry Laboratory at the Hyde Park campus in Chicago. The role receives and evaluates specimens, performs accessioning, labeling, processing, centrifugation, aliquoting, packaging, waived testing, phlebotomy, specimen transport, quality assurance, troubleshooting, clerical duties, and laboratory information system documentation while following laboratory policies and regulatory requirements. The position works the night shift, Tuesday through Saturday, and requires a high school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree in a science-related field and clinical laboratory or phlebotomy experience are preferred.
