The Insurance Billing Specialist verifies patient demographics, checks referral-based insurance plans, contacts patients and insurance companies to obtain eligibility and benefit information, determines deductibles, copays, coinsurance, and provider participation, and communicates out-of-pocket expenses to patients. The role is based in Amherst, New York, with a Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m. schedule and 40 hours per week.
