Description
PreCon Precast Limited, a member of the OSCO Construction Group, is hiring a Precast Design Engineer for its engineering department. The role begins with designing prestressed concrete insulated sandwich wall panels under senior-engineer supervision and may expand into parking structures, bridge girders, plant engineering, field engineering, and pre-bid engineering. Responsibilities include reviewing project documents, preparing code-compliant design calculations, coordinating with architects and consultants, monitoring drawings and bills of materials, checking production and erection drawings, applying an engineering seal, resolving manufacturing and erection issues, and visiting plants and job sites. The position requires a Bachelor of Applied Science in Civil Engineering, structural design knowledge, familiarity with Ontario and CSA codes, proficiency with Microsoft Office and structural/BIM software, and an Ontario P.Eng. license or ability to obtain one within two years.
