Description
Coherent Corp. is hiring an entry-level Diamond Flycutter Operator to machine plano and cylinder mirrors and lens components to drawing, engineering, and company specifications using a diamond flycut machine. The role includes machine and tool setup, precision measurement and verification of thickness and figure, process documentation, quality checks, minor troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, multitasking across machines, and adherence to safety and environmental procedures. On-the-job training is provided; applicants need a high school diploma or GED, 0–2 years of manufacturing experience, mechanical aptitude, drawing-reading, math, communication, organizational, and quality-focused skills. The position works on an off-shift schedule of either 3:00 p.m.–11:00 p.m. or 11:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m., Monday through Friday, in a clean-room manufacturing environment.
