Description
The employer is hiring a Mechanic (m/f/d) in Erlangen to manufacture and assemble precision mechanical components. Responsibilities include mechanical processing, assembly and disassembly, functional checks, induction brazing and semi-automated welding, and special assembly, commissioning, and recurring inspections of components for power plants worldwide. The role requires completed vocational training in tool mechanics, precision mechanics, or a comparable technical occupation, professional experience in precision mechanics or precision assembly, manual dexterity, quality awareness, independent working style, German and English language skills, and willingness to travel approximately 30% worldwide. Compensation is €24.49 per hour under EG 6 of the IG Metall collective agreement, with a 35-hour workweek, vacation and Christmas bonuses, training, and travel allowances.
