Description
The Preconstruction Manager leads design and preconstruction for commercial construction pursuits from early opportunity through contract or GMP agreement and transition to operations. The role integrates cost planning, estimating, design coordination, scheduling, procurement, permitting, constructability, risk, and value strategy; coordinates Owner, architect/engineer, estimating, operations, trade partners, and other project teams; and manages preconstruction deliverables, estimates, budgets, schedules, and handoffs. The position requires typically 7+ years of relevant experience, strong estimating literacy, multidisciplinary team coordination, and knowledge of construction delivery methods, with a California base salary of $123,120 to $160,000 per year.
