Berkeley Lab’s Environmental Genomics and Systems Biology Division is hiring a Postdoctoral Fellow to join the Systems Biology Knowledgebase (KBase) team. The role develops an iterative system for integrating microbial genomic and phenotypic data, generates testable biological predictions, supports experimental validation, and refines genome-scale metabolic and microbial community models. Responsibilities include genome annotation and functional analysis, predictive modeling, benchmark development, uncertainty quantification, and publishing open, FAIR methods and datasets. The position is full-time, onsite at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory in Berkeley, California, with an anticipated start date of November 1, 2026, and a two-year benefits-eligible appointment.
