Description
The Pre-K Teacher plans and implements a high-quality early childhood education program for children ages 3–5, supporting school readiness and development across social-emotional, physical, language, literacy, cognitive, and approaches-to-learning areas. The role includes individualized instruction, ongoing child assessment, classroom management, family engagement, collaboration with disability and health services, and support for IEPs and IFSPs. The position reports to the Education Manager or Center Director and requires a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or a related field, Maryland and Head Start teacher qualifications, and the ability to supervise children and respond to health and safety needs.
