Description
The Preschool Specialist provides district-wide consultation, coaching, modeling, and professional learning to preschool teachers, paraprofessionals, and administrators. The role supports evidence-based instructional, behavioral, and social-emotional practices; classroom observations and data-driven supports; individualized accommodations and Student Success Plans; multidisciplinary team meetings; family and leadership collaboration; and transitions from preschool into kindergarten and early elementary grades. The position requires a valid Michigan teaching certificate or other appropriate credential, at least three years of early childhood or early childhood special education experience, and the ability to travel between district preschool sites.
