Description
The Primary Counselor delivers long-term supervision, support, and clinical services to chemically dependent adolescents with co-occurring and mental health problems as part of an interdisciplinary treatment team. Responsibilities include weekly group sessions, bi-weekly individual counseling, screening, documentation, group facilitation, supervised self-medication, crisis intervention, and overall client-population supervision. The role requires an LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, or higher credential, 2–3 years of substance abuse disorder experience, and 1–2 years of experience working with adolescents with co-occurring and mental health problems; OASAS-funded facility experience is a plus. The schedule is Sun–2pm–10pm, Mon–7am–3pm, Tue–Wed–2pm–10pm, and Thu–9am–5pm, with Friday and Saturday off.
