KIPP Columbus is hiring a Behavior Assistant to support students with challenging behaviors in a K-12 school setting. The role provides one-on-one and small-group support, implements behavior intervention plans and positive reinforcement strategies, monitors behavior data, assists teachers and staff, supports crisis de-escalation, and collaborates with behavior specialists, counselors, and administrators. Applicants need at least one year of school-based Behavior Assistant experience, 10 hours of behavior-management and positive-reinforcement training, de-escalation training, an active Ohio educational aide permit, a high school diploma or equivalent, and experience working with children or adolescents.
