Description
Comcast is hiring an Engineer 5, Technical Research & Development for its Network Evolution team. The role leads strategic architecture and system design for next-generation wireline, optical, and wireless access and transport technologies; evaluates hardware and software architectures; designs and validates RF and optical networks; develops proof-of-concepts; performs technical and cost-benefit tradeoff analysis; defines product and system requirements; and provides technical leadership to external partners and standards bodies. The position requires approximately 10+ years of telecommunications and systems engineering experience, deep expertise in RF, optical networking, or wireless systems, and experience with hardware/software architectures, proof-of-concepts, and Python scripting or automation.
