Description
The Manufacturing Engineer leads the transfer of product designs from R&D into manufacturing, develops and improves manufacturing processes, tooling, equipment, and procedures, and supports product quality, productivity, cost, GMP, and FDA compliance. The role performs IQ/OQ/PQ and design-of-experiments work, troubleshoots production issues, coordinates with vendors and technicians, and supervises a small team of Manufacturing Engineers. It requires 10–15 years of related experience, a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or a related discipline, and experience with complex electro-mechanical or opto-mechanical products; the position is in-person Monday through Friday with occasional travel and presence in Gardner, Massachusetts, and Portland, Maine.
