Description
WEX is hiring a Principal AI/ML Engineer to lead the design, architecture, development, and production of a cloud-native AI/ML engineering platform supporting GenAI and traditional AI/ML applications. The role owns technical direction, platform reliability, security, scalability, quality, and integration across the company, while partnering with Data Lake, security, SRE, product, and other engineering teams. It requires 15–20 years of large-scale software experience, strong AI/ML and distributed-systems expertise, hands-on cloud and infrastructure experience, and leadership of engineering teams. The role can be based in San Francisco Bay Area, Chicago, Portland, Maine, or Boston, with a base pay range of $250,300 to $289,000 and health, dental, and vision insurance benefits.
