Microsoft is hiring an Applied AI Engineering Manager to build and lead an AI engineering pod focused on production agentic AI services. The role owns the end-to-end lifecycle of AI agents, including LLM orchestration, multi-agent workflows, RAG pipelines, evaluation systems, deployment, observability, reliability, incident response, and responsible AI practices. It also involves setting technical standards, influencing product and platform roadmaps, driving measurable business outcomes, and developing engineering talent. The position requires a bachelor's degree and 6+ years of relevant experience, with preferred qualifications including experience in multi-agent systems, AI evaluation, Azure AI platforms, agent security, cross-org delivery, and people management.
