Microsoft is hiring a Principal Applied Scientist for its Online Forensics team within the Microsoft AI Experiences organization. The role focuses on protecting monetization and advertising flows and LLM-native systems by identifying fraud tactics, adversary infrastructure, and evasion patterns; developing threat hypotheses, adversarial simulations, test harnesses, and investigation platforms; establishing authoritative ground truth; and leading incident reconstruction. The position requires a relevant bachelor's, master's, or doctorate degree plus 3–6 years of related experience, security screening, and the ability to work from a designated Microsoft office at least four days per week.
