Description

NetSage is seeking a Principal Artificial Intelligence (AI) Software Engineer to design and deliver advanced AI and machine learning solutions that improve intelligence analysis and operational decision-making. The role leads the development and operationalization of AI-enabled applications integrating machine learning, large language models, and modern software engineering practices to automate complex workflows. Candidates must hold a TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance and meet one of several education-and-experience combinations, along with expertise in Java, Python, AI/ML application development, LLMs, deep learning, and machine learning techniques.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or a related field
Required Previous Experiences: 11 years of relevant experience with a B.S. degree
7 years of relevant experience with a Ph.D. degree
9 years of relevant experience with an M.S. degree
13 years of relevant experience with an A.S. degree
Experience designing and developing AI/ML applications using modern software engineering methodologies
Experience working with LLMs and generative AI technologies
Experience with modern deep learning architectures
Experience with machine learning techniques including classification, clustering, collaborative filtering, semantic search, and information retrieval
Experience using Jupyter Notebooks
Preferred Qualifications: Experience implementing RAG, Model Context Protocol, and AI agent frameworks
Experience designing autonomous or agentic AI systems
Strong understanding of statistical modeling, probability theory, Bayesian inference, covariance analysis, and machine learning fundamentals
