Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory is hiring a Principal Associate Director (PAD) for Computing to lead the laboratory’s computing workforce of approximately 1,400 employees and advance computing, artificial intelligence, data science, and related capabilities. Reporting to the Laboratory Director and serving on the Senior Leadership Team, the role manages the Computing Directorate’s budget, personnel, strategic planning, government and industry partnerships, and compliance with safety, security, environmental, and quality standards. The position requires a U.S. DOE Q/SCI-level security clearance, U.S. citizenship, a Ph.D. in computing or a related discipline, and extensive senior-level experience leading large-scale research and development organizations. It is an at-will, career-indefinite position with a hybrid schedule and a stated pay range of $521,580 to $669,864.
