Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: 15+ years of experience in strategic communications, public affairs, advocacy, or a related field.
A significant track record of developing and leading high-impact advocacy or communications campaigns that have successfully moved the needle on diverse issue areas and reached complex audiences.
Deep-rooted regional expertise and an established "rolodex" of relationships within the Pacific Northwest (especially Washington State and Seattle) political and philanthropic ecosystems.
Demonstrated success in sourcing, pitching, and securing long-term, high-value engagements.
Extensive experience advising foundation presidents, communications directors, political leaders, or advocacy coalitions through complex communications and high-stakes strategy challenges.
A sophisticated understanding of earned media, digital strategy, brand, and creative.
Advanced skills in team development, with a demonstrated ability to grow, coach, and retain high-performing senior staff.
Outstanding written, verbal, and visual communication skills, with a rare ability to distill the most complex policy or political ideas into compelling, persuasive narratives.
Strong experience in the business of consulting, including account management, complex budgeting, resource allocation, and organizational planning.
Preferred Qualifications: battle-tested strategist with a demonstrated commitment to social change
master-level command of the Pacific Northwest’s political and philanthropic landscape
fierce passion for social impact, equity, and the belief that communications is a fundamental tool for driving systemic change.
