Callen-Lenz is hiring a full-time Principal Avionics Engineer in Salisbury, Wiltshire, United Kingdom, with a salary of £60,000 plus discretionary bonus. The role leads avionics systems engineering for unmanned air systems, covering design, development, integration, control, navigation, communication, aircraft management, and command-and-control systems. Responsibilities include technical leadership, stakeholder interfacing, engineering processes, airworthiness and certification support, resource estimation, and supervising other engineers. The position requires an engineering or science degree, avionics systems knowledge, practical integration skills, and the ability to work in a team; desirable qualifications include UAS systems experience, aerospace lifecycle experience, engineering tools, aerospace qualification standards, and safety-critical systems knowledge. The role also requires UK work eligibility, a valid UK driving licence, occasional travel, and the ability to obtain security clearance.
