Description
Nokia is seeking a Coherent Optical System Architect for its Optical Systems Group to develop and characterize next-generation coherent MODEMs based on Infinera photonic integrated circuits. The role involves early prototype hardware testing, optical and electrical performance characterization, coherent signal processing, bit-error-rate and SNR analysis, optimization of optical, electrical, and digital capabilities, and support for higher baud rates and control/firmware algorithms. The position requires a PhD in Electrical Engineering or Applied Physics, at least three years of industrial experience in optical communications or related fields, and hands-on experience with coherent systems, high-speed RF and mm-wave components, and optical and electrical test equipment.
