Oracle is hiring a Principal Engineer to lead the architecture, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and long-term operation of high-performance virtual networking dataplane services in a multi-tenant cloud environment. The role owns C/C++ systems, packet processing, routing, NAT, gateways, traffic management, security enforcement, scalability, reliability, observability, incident response, and cross-functional technical leadership. Candidates need extensive software development experience, cloud and distributed systems experience, and expertise in high-performance dataplane technologies such as DPDK, VirtIO, eBPF/XDP, SR-IOV, and SmartNICs. The US hiring range is $114,600 to $234,600 per annum, with medical, dental, and vision insurance among the benefits.
