Principal Crypto Engineer (TS/SCI) at K2 Space

K2 is hiring a Crypto Engineer to own the architecture and end-to-end design of Type-1 cryptographic integrations across spacecraft, payloads, and ground systems. The role leads cryptographic concepts through implementation, integration, NSA certification and accreditation, and on-orbit operations; defines COMSEC architecture and key-management approaches; partners with government and certification authorities; and establishes reusable cryptographic standards for a high-volume satellite production line. The position requires a relevant bachelor's degree, at least five years of cryptographic or secure-communications engineering experience, direct NSA Type-1 certification experience, and a Top Secret or Top Secret SCI clearance. Compensation is $160,000–$245,000 plus equity, with medical, dental, and vision coverage.
