SpaceX is hiring a Principal Cybersecurity Engineer (Starshield) to lead and grow a team responsible for defending the Starshield satellite constellation against active threats. The role focuses on cyber defense strategy, vulnerability discovery, red-team and blue-team assessments, incident detection and response, and collaboration with security and systems teams. Candidates need a relevant bachelor’s degree, extensive cybersecurity experience with active production systems, and experience leading direct reports; the position requires a Top Secret security clearance and extended availability. Compensation is $225,000–$340,000 for Level 3, with additional benefits and potential clearance-related differentials.
