Description

Takeda is hiring a Principal Data Engineer in Bengaluru to lead the architecture, implementation, governance, and modernization of enterprise-scale data platforms across R&D, clinical, regulatory, commercial, and enterprise analytics. The role focuses on Databricks, AWS, PySpark, Delta Lake, Lakehouse architectures, data pipelines, CI/CD, data quality, observability, security, and compliance, while providing technical leadership and mentoring to engineering teams.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
Required Previous Experiences: 12+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Big Data, Data Platforms, or Cloud Engineering
4 to 5 years of experience architecting enterprise-scale data solutions on Databricks or AWS
Experience building large-scale enterprise data pipelines and Lakehouse architectures
Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK
Preferred Qualifications: Life sciences, pharmaceutical, healthcare, or clinical data domain experience
Experience supporting GxP-regulated environments
Knowledge of clinical trial data
Knowledge of regulatory data
Knowledge of pharmacovigilance
Knowledge of real-world data
Knowledge of omics and research data
Experience with ML/AI data platforms and MLOps foundations
