The Very Group is hiring a Principal Data Engineer for its Data Enablement team to provide hands-on technical leadership across data transformation initiatives. The role involves designing secure, scalable cloud-native data architectures and platforms, implementing complex data engineering solutions, improving performance, reliability, scalability, and cost, establishing engineering standards, mentoring engineers, and resolving complex production issues. Candidates should have production data engineering experience, strong AWS knowledge, Python and SQL coding skills, experience with data lakes, warehouses or Lakehouse platforms, modern data engineering concepts, and version control and CI/CD practices.
