Microsoft is hiring a Data Science Manager to lead a WSSI team developing production-oriented AI solutions for computer vision and efficient small language models on Windows products. The role manages researchers, MLOps engineers, and data management experts; defines the technical roadmap; guides research-to-production development; and focuses on model efficiency, latency, footprint, and deployment readiness for constrained edge devices. Candidates need a master’s or doctoral degree in a relevant technical field, experience in computer vision or efficient small language models, and experience as a people manager or technical leader.
