Microsoft is hiring a Principal Data Scientist for its Windows Data & Applied Sciences team to lead decision science, measurement, experimentation, forecasting, impact assessment, and AI evaluation at global scale. The role partners with senior product, engineering, design, research, and business leaders to define metrics, evaluate strategic investments, assess AI-powered experiences, establish responsible AI practices, and mentor data scientists. Candidates need a bachelor's degree in a quantitative field, at least 12 years of experience in data science or related disciplines, expertise in experimentation and causal analysis, programming skills, and experience with large-scale consumer products and AI evaluation.
