easyJet is hiring a Principal Data Scientist - Optimization Engineering to lead and coach a cross-functional software engineering and optimisation team. The role owns the architecture, delivery, quality, reliability, and technical direction of decision-support products for airline disruption management and crew/roster optimisation, including solver integration, APIs, data pipelines, observability, and performance tuning. Candidates need proven people or technical leadership experience, software engineering fundamentals, optimisation and scheduling experience, programming ability, and experience operating optimisation components; cloud, simulation, human-in-the-loop, and data science experience are preferred. The position follows a hybrid working policy of 40%-60% time with colleagues.
