Description
Microsoft is hiring a Datacenter Engineering Design Manager to manage the engineering scope, schedule, and budget for greenfield, brownfield, and retrofit datacenter design projects across the North-East Asia and APAC regions. The role leads architects, engineers, designers, internal teams, and external vendors through feasibility studies, permitting, construction, and turnover to operations, while coordinating with Microsoft stakeholders and specialized datacenter vendors. Required qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, or a related field, multidisciplinary mission-critical environment knowledge, communication skills, experience leading engineering teams and managing design and construction procurement, and fluency in Japanese and English; preferred qualifications include at least 10 years of mission-critical engineering or construction experience and at least 5 years of project or team management experience.
