ABB is hiring an onsite Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the mechanical design of medium-voltage (MV) switchgear. The role manages and coordinates the mechanical design team, selects and develops structural schemes, supports product optimization and customer technical questions, controls project risks and costs, and coaches new employees. Candidates need a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field, at least eight years of experience in the relevant field, knowledge of power systems and MV switchgear, familiarity with AutoCAD and SolidWorks, and English communication skills.
