Coherent Corp is hiring a Principal Development Engineer to lead the development of advanced ultrafast laser systems and optical subsystems. The role involves technical leadership across feasibility, breadboard development, experimental investigations, product translation, manufacturing transfer, customer-facing activities, and product lifecycle support. The engineer will work with multidisciplinary teams, mentor colleagues, define technical specifications, and contribute to technology roadmaps. The position requires a PhD or equivalent industrial experience, extensive diode-pumped solid-state laser development experience, ultrafast laser physics knowledge, experimental and modelling skills, and strong analytical, communication, and project-management abilities.
