Principal Development Test Engineer at K2 Space

K2 Space is hiring a Principal Development Test Engineer to own testing of mechanical structures, materials, and electromechanical subsystems for its satellites. The role includes designing and fabricating test hardware, leading multidisciplinary development test campaigns, validating designs through prototype testing, developing data acquisition and instrumentation systems, improving testing methods, and mentoring engineers. Candidates need a relevant engineering bachelor’s degree, at least 8 years of industry experience in mechanical, structural, or electromechanical testing, aerospace or terrestrial test experience, CAD or FEA software experience, and hands-on fabrication experience. The position offers a base salary of $175,000–$200,000 plus equity and medical, dental, and vision coverage.
