Description
BlackSky is hiring a Principal DevSecOps Architect to support the Chief Technology Office in shaping cybersecurity for software systems and satellite ground-segment deployments. The role develops security architecture and roadmaps, integrates automated security controls into Infrastructure-as-Code, assesses vulnerabilities, coordinates security controls across engineering and infrastructure teams, and ensures compliance with standards such as NIST, FedRAMP, and ISO/IEC 27001. It is a hands-on, full-time position reporting to the VP of Product Architecture, with a strong preference for candidates near the Herndon, Virginia office and possible remote consideration in certain states. The role requires at least 12 years of related experience, including five years leading DevSecOps or infrastructure security architecture projects, a bachelor’s degree in engineering, and eligibility for a US security clearance.
