FPCR is hiring a Principal Ecologist in Sheffield to lead ecological consultancy projects from pre- and post-planning stages, including surveys, environmental and biodiversity net gain assessments, ecological reports, mitigation, and stakeholder advice. The role also involves mentoring junior staff and maintaining client, contractor, and regulatory relationships. Candidates need a degree or higher in ecology or a related field, 7–8 years of ecological consultancy experience, expertise in UK biodiversity legislation and complex report writing, and a UK driving licence with vehicle access.
