Description

Radiant is hiring a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead the electrical system architecture and test infrastructure for Kaleidos, its commercial microreactor unit. The role owns end-to-end electrical integration, including requirements definition, hardware bring-up, testing, commissioning, validation strategy, tooling, automation, vendor management, and cross-functional design reviews. The position requires a BS in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, at least 10 years of progressive electrical engineering experience, and 100% onsite work at Radiant’s El Segundo headquarters.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
Required Previous Experiences: 10+ years of progressive electrical engineering experience, including hands-on hardware design, integration, and test
Experience setting technical direction, mentoring engineers, and driving complex programs
Experience with DAQ and test systems
Proficiency with software and scripting environments
Experience with data acquisition, test execution, and validation frameworks
Cross-functional experience with software, mechanical, and systems engineering teams
Proficiency in a scripting or programming language
Preferred Qualifications: Master of Science or PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
Familiarity with real-time simulation systems and/or FPGA-based hardware
Experience with controls fundamentals and software testing processes
Hands-on experience with trace capture, data acquisition, and analysis tools
Background in high-reliability, safety-critical, or regulated industry environments
