UGL is hiring a Principal Electrical Engineer for a permanent full-time role based in Brisbane’s CBD, with the first assignment supporting a major greenfield rail project in South East Queensland. The role provides subject-matter expertise across high-voltage, low-voltage, and traction power design packages; develops and reviews electrical solutions, drawings, calculations, and specifications; coordinates interdisciplinary design activities; participates in technical reviews and client working groups; monitors design programme and cost; and mentors engineers. Candidates need a relevant bachelor’s degree, chartered professional engineer status, at least 15 years of relevant industry experience, and extensive HV and LV electrical design experience, with traction power experience on major rail infrastructure projects highly regarded.
