Description
Astera Labs is hiring a Principal Electrical Engineer to own the electrical architecture and hardware design of its Smart Cable Module platform for OSFP, QSFP-DD, and emerging form-factor enclosures targeting 400G, 800G, and beyond. The role leads SerDes, power delivery, signal integrity, PCB, module-management, analog, mixed-signal, bring-up, validation, failure analysis, and DFT/DFM activities while partnering with firmware, silicon, contract-manufacturing, and customer teams. It requires a bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field, 10–12+ years of progressive experience, and at least 5 years focused on high-speed SerDes-based interconnect, active copper cable, or optical/pluggable module products.
