Description
Coupa is hiring a Principal Engineer, AI/ML Architecture to define the technical direction for its next generation AI platform capabilities, including model training, evaluation, serving, RAG systems, safety standards, and partnership evaluations. The role is hands-on in architecture and prototyping, writes code and reviews PRs, and mentors ML and data engineers across the US and India. It requires extensive software engineering and ML/AI systems experience, deep knowledge of transformer-based LLM training and inference, distributed GPU training, Python, PyTorch, cloud AI/ML services, and custom LLM evaluation suites; an advanced degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or equivalent practical experience is preferred/required. The position is hybrid and based in the United States, with salary determined by skills, experience, and geographic location within the state.
