Description

Qualcomm India Private Limited is hiring a Principal Engineer, AI Platform Software Architecture to lead the software and system architecture for next-generation AI inferencing platforms. The role drives long-term platform strategy, cross-functional architecture across software, hardware, security, memory systems, and AI accelerators, hardware/software co-design, system-level architecture, tradeoff analysis, architecture reviews, and technical leadership. Candidates need a bachelor's, master's, or PhD in a relevant field plus 6–8 years of software engineering or related experience, along with 4+ years of experience with C, C++, Java, or Python.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor's, master's, or PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, with 6–8 years of software engineering or related experience depending on the degree.
Required Previous Experiences: 8+ years of software engineering or related work experience for bachelor's degree holders
7+ years of software engineering or related work experience for master's degree holders
6+ years of software engineering or related work experience for PhD holders
4+ years of experience with C, C++, Java, Python, or similar programming languages
Preferred Qualifications: 15+ years of experience architecting complex embedded, platform, or systems software solutions
Experience driving architecture and technical strategy across multiple product generations and organizations
Experience with hardware/software interface design, system architecture, and end-to-end platform engineering
Deep expertise in SoC and computer architecture, ARM and RISC-V architectures, Linux kernel and operating systems, memory management, DMA and IOMMU, virtualization, security architecture, AI inferencing runtimes, LLMs, Transformer architectures, heterogeneous computing, and AI accelerators
Ability to influence senior technical leaders and drive consensus across geographically distributed teams
Excellent communication, leadership, and technical presentation skills
