Description

Masimo is hiring a Principal Engineer, Algorithm – ECG to lead the architecture, development, validation, and advancement of ECG signal-processing algorithms for cardiac monitoring. The role covers filtering, feature extraction, waveform delineation, heart-rate detection, arrhythmia identification, and regulatory-compliant algorithm design, with collaboration across hardware, software, systems, and clinical teams. It is an on-site position in Irvine, California, reporting to the Manager, Algorithm – ECG, and requires a relevant bachelor’s degree and at least 12 years of experience in ECG algorithm development or signal processing.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
Required Previous Experiences: 12+ years of relevant experience in ECG algorithm development, signal processing, or a related domain
Experience developing ECG algorithms, including waveform detection and cardiac feature extraction
Experience working with large-scale physiological or clinical datasets
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
Experience with arrhythmia detection/classification algorithms or cardiac monitoring systems
Knowledge of cardiac physiology and electrophysiology principles
Experience applying machine learning techniques to ECG or time-series physiological data
Familiarity with wearable or ambulatory ECG systems and associated signal challenges
