Description
Orenda is hiring a Principal Engineer to serve as the senior engineering authority for its fleet of Battery Energy Storage System assets. The role owns technical due diligence, maintenance and safety programs, FMEA and alarm systems, commissioning and acceptance testing, engineering standards, utility interconnection, and long-term technical risk mitigation. It is a full-time position based in Brooklyn, New York, with regular work at active sites across the five New York City boroughs and on-call rotation. The role requires a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field, at least 10 years of power systems engineering experience, and substantial field experience with energized medium-voltage equipment. The anticipated base salary is $140,000-$205,000 per year, with a performance-based bonus and health, dental, and vision insurance.
