BAE Systems is hiring a Principal Engineer – Combat Systems (External Communications) to lead requirements management and testing and integration of external communications equipment into submarine systems. The role covers technical requirements, design documentation, verification and validation, supplier and customer acceptance, and technical support for integrated performance and acceptance activities. It requires knowledge of maritime external communications, radio-frequency and systems-network architecture, product safety and SHE, IBM DOORS, and technical documentation. The position is based in Frimley with alternative locations in Filton, Portsmouth Broad Oak, or Weymouth, offers hybrid and flexible working, and pays circa £58,000 DOE.
