Description

BAE Systems is hiring a Principal Engineer – Cyber Security to support the secure and resilient development, integration, and through-life support of submarine systems for the Royal Navy. The role defines risk-based cybersecurity requirements, performs threat and risk analysis, develops security architectures and baselines, plans and conducts security testing, supports engineering lifecycle reviews and design assurance, and maintains security assurance documentation. It is a hybrid/flexible role based in Frimley, Bristol, Weymouth, Portsmouth, or Coventry, subject to security and export-control restrictions and requiring at least Baseline Personnel Security Standard clearance.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Degree in a relevant STEM subject or recognised industry security qualifications such as CCP or CISSP
Required Previous Experiences: Proven experience assessing and managing information security risk using NIST and ISO 27001 good practice
Significant experience using security baselines, mitigations, and controls
Experience with a phased engineering lifecycle approach
Preferred Qualifications: Baseline Personnel Security Standard clearance
Ability to meet higher UK national security vetting requirements, including potentially 5 to 10 years of continuous UK residency
