Description

Northrop Grumman is hiring a Principal or Senior Principal Embedded Software Engineer to design, develop, operate, and maintain software and firmware components and computing systems for engineering, scientific, manufacturing, laboratory simulation, aircraft flight control, and medical applications. The role requires a STEM degree and substantial related experience, US citizenship, secret clearance, software lifecycle and team-leadership experience, and proficiency with C/C++, Python, Java, Docker, and Agile development tools. The position offers relocation assistance, 10% travel, health insurance, and a primary salary range of $114,000 to $177,800.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with 5 years of related experience, or a Master’s degree with 3 years, or a PhD with 1 year.
Required Previous Experiences: Software lifecycle experience covering specification, design, implementation, integration, debugging, and maintenance.
Experience leading software engineering teams and managing technical scope.
Experience with Agile, Git, GitLab, or Bitbucket in cross-functional Scrum teams.
Software development experience with C/C++, Python, Java, and Docker.
Preferred Qualifications: Deliverables management experience.
Active secret clearance with SAP access.
Software testing process experience.
Software test planning experience.
Current active secret clearance with an investigation completed within the last six years.
Green Hills INTEGRITY RTOS experience, including task management, partitioning, and resource allocation.
Green Hills MULTI IDE experience for debugging, tracing, and profiling on target hardware.
Understanding of RMS scheduling for real-time operating systems.
