Micron Technology is hiring a Principal Security Firmware Engineer for its enterprise SSD team to design and develop security features across the full security development lifecycle. The role focuses on cryptography-based solutions such as data encryption, Root of Trust, Secure Boot, Device Attestation, and Self-Encrypting Devices, while leading the transition to post-quantum cryptography. Responsibilities include threat modeling, security architecture, firmware debugging on SoC, FPGA, and simulation platforms, security testing, certification support, and cross-functional collaboration with firmware, hardware, and product teams. The position requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, at least 10 years of security firmware development experience, applied cryptography expertise, post-quantum cryptography knowledge, and proficiency in C and Python. The US base salary range is $166,000 to $326,000 per year, with medical, dental, and vision plans available.
