Description

Ford Pro Intelligence is hiring a Principal Engineer / Architect to lead the technical vision and architecture of large-scale, data-intensive SaaS applications, web applications, services, APIs, and frontends. The role includes architectural strategy, product and requirements translation, project scoping, hands-on development, engineering leadership, incident response, and technical escalation. The position requires 12+ years of software engineering experience, including extensive experience with scalable web applications, APIs, databases, data pipelines, and distributed systems, and offers a remote work arrangement.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a combination of education and equivalent work experience.
Required Previous Experiences: 12+ years of software engineering experience with technical leadership and architectural experience.
5+ years designing and building scalable, data-intensive web applications and SaaS products.
5+ years of API development with Java or Kotlin and modern frontend frameworks.
5+ years of experience with relational databases, NoSQL, and high-volume data pipelines.
Experience providing technical leadership, mentoring engineers, and establishing scalable engineering practices in complex Agile environments.
Preferred Qualifications: Ability to communicate complex architectural concepts to technical, product, DevOps, design, and executive stakeholders.
Deep understanding of distributed systems, microservices, RESTful interfaces, and OAS standards.
Extensive experience with Springboot services and enterprise integration patterns.
Expert knowledge of pub/sub architectures, event-driven systems, and cloud-native capabilities.
Advanced experience with GCP or equivalent enterprise experience with AWS or Azure.
